The Function on the Predicate-Copying-Topic Clause in Modern Chinese

The predicate-copying-topic clauseXtCXpin Modern Chinese,is constituted by means of predicate(rheme) Xp copying topic Xt in a discourse.Its subjectivity is powerful.Based on analyzing its structure, type,and features of semantic meanings and grammar so on,the paper emphatically studies the interpersonal and discourse function of the XtCXp clause,and points out that its interpersonal function is an appraisal which reflects the speaker's attitude of polar.Its discourse function is the internal conjunctions and external reference,and it embodies the pivot and peak of information flow in a discourse.
