Content Delivery Networks(CDN)is a creative application of Internet.With the help of the new layer added to the original internet architecture,CDN can send the website content to the″edge″of its nearest users and deliver the data of streaming media effectively in the internet.Therefore the load of server and the crowding of internet can be relieved greatly,the reply speed also can be quickened,and the quality of service(QoS)can be improved to a great extent,too.This paper mainly introduced the architecture and workflow of CDN and its primary tech-nologies in detail.With the development of the Wide Brand,the application of CDN is certain to be the main trend in future high speed networks.
