Objective To study the frictional characteristics of the straight-wire blue diamond bracket.Methods The measurement of the frictional force of the straight-wire blue diamond bracket manufactured by Instron testing machine,with 3 types of archwires under ligation bv stainless steel wires were conducted with Instron testing machine.Results The static and kinetic friction of the straight-wire blue diamond bracket with the 3 types of archwires were not statistically different with that of the control group(P0.05).Conclusion The frictional characteristics of the straight-wire blue diamond bracket could be the clinical needs.
