A new geographic routing for mobile Sink in wireless multimedia sensor networks

Lianglun Cheng · Transducer and Microsystem Technologies · 2011

A new protocol for mobile Sink in multimedia sensor network routing is proposed. The protocol uses anchor nodes as forwarding node to communicate with the mobile Sink so that direct long-distance communications for multimedia sensor nodes and Sink can be avoided.Sensor nodes in the multi-media uses an improved geographic greedy forwarding routing protocol to establish the routing path.Simulation results show that the agreement will not only support the mobile Sink, but also support nodes to reduce energy consumption, extend the network lifetime and improve the efficiency of data transmission.
