Study of Disyllabification in Recent Years: a Summary

Disyllabification refers to the process that non-disyllabic words(including monosyllabic words and polysyllabic words)turn into disyllabic ones.As one of the important changes in Chinese grammar and vocabulary history,disyllabification is caused by various reasons and brings comprehensive influence on Chinese language system.The research progress of disyllabification in recent years is summarized in this paper.
