Application of wavelet transform in color images retrieval

The most popular feature is color histogram,which is too computationally intensive and cause the long time on retrieval images.Image retrieval based on wavelet transform can’t meet a visual representation of information of the key image.To improve the efficiency,the color features of the central region was proposed,and searched the clusters that are close to the query.In the sub-database the distances of wavelet coefficient are calculated to retrieval again.The method has the higher precision and less computation.
