H.264 Error Resilient Coding Scheme Based on Flexible Macroblock Ordering

Flexible Macroblock Ordering(FMO) feature of the H.264/AVC codec improves the decoded video quality remarkably.In order to further increase the robustness of the transmitted video over unreliable channels,distortion introduced by error concealment is taken into consideration under R-D optimized motion vector selection framework in the presence of FMO mechanism,this allows optimization of concealment distortion at the encoder.Experiment result is given to show the performance of the proposed method.
