SAR image denosing based on wavelet

Aim A complete and detailed review of general SAR image denoising methods based on wavelet are introduced and a new method for SAR image enhancement and denoising based on wavelet-multifractal is presented here.Methods The SAR image is characterized via its multifractal spectrum at wavelet domain, which shows difference between original signal and noise. After multifractal analysis of image, Hlder exponent regularized which result from multifractal spectrum.Results This manipulation leads to a smooth and denoised image while preserving the relative strength of the singularities in the image.Conclusion Wavelet has special virtue on SAR image denoising study. Along with nonlinear theory (such as fractal, etc )introduction to this study, more and more good denoising results appeared.
