On copyright object systems in the information era

Since the birth of copyright laws,they are closely related with technology.Copyrights often change with the revolutions of science and technology: in the information era,the relations between copyrights and technology become much closer.On the basis of copyright object systems,this paper analyzes the changes in the theories of objects,concepts,protection elements and criteria of copyrights with the development of digital technology.Comparing the continental law systems with British and American law systems and with China's judicial practices,the paper mainly discusses the methods adopted theoretically and practically by different countries to protect their databases,which have relatively low originality,so as to establish a protection system of databases that is suitable for China's current conditions.All in all,this paper tries to reveal the development tendency of copyright systems at the computer age according to the basic theories of copyrights.
