Key Issues of Service Provisioning in Next-Generation Networks

This paper describes the evolution trends, service requirements and architecture of the next generation network (NGN), and then points out the shortcomings of current service provisioning technologies. Under these backgrounds, several key issues of service provisioning in NGN, such as business models, network evolution requirements, next generation services, critical network elements, crucial technologies, etc., are discussed.
