Review of Localization Algorithms for Torpedo-Target

Locating and tracking torpedo is the key to warship anti-torpedo.Torpedo warning sonar can detect noise of incoming torpedo and get the target's bearing information,but the bearing information is insufficient to locating the torpedo at present.So the feasibility of cooperative detecting torpedo by ship-shell sonar and towed sonar is analyzed,and localization methods are discussed,filter algorithm is established.By simulation,it analyses the locating precision,and compares filter method with least-sum-squared-error method,according as the result,it finally confirms the adaptive method that is fit for locating and tracking torpedo.
