Study on multi-mode search of motion estimation

Based on analysis of existing algorithms of motion estimation,using the motion vector distribution characteristics and the integrated application of multiple search modes,motion search strategy is improved.According to the direction to divide the search area,the search points are redwed,time is saved,and the compression performance of the entire system is improved.The simulation results show that the algorithm can maintain the original rate distortion characteristics compared with unsymmetrical-cross multi-hexagon-grid search algorithm.The motion estimation time is reduced by about 15% on average and the encoding speed is improved.
