Protection and Spread-Thunderstricke Effect of High-thunder-conductor

Theories and experiments have confirmed that there are protection zone and spread-thundersticke zone exist in models of high lightning conductors like lightning rod,power towers and signal towers.This paper based on theory of EGM and combined with actual data,calculates and analyzes the radius of protection zone and spread-stricked zone.The conclusion manifestes that the radius of protection zone deminishes while the height of the protected object increases,the radius of the spread-stricked zone rises while the height of the protected object increases,the curve of the relative protection effect has a summit which corresponding the best hight of lightning conductor.
