WiFi based environment monitoring system design

WiFi(Wireless Fidelity) technology has rapid development in wireless LAN applications with high transmission rate,far transmission distance,and covering a wide range of places.This paper has completed hardware and software design of a kind of WiFi technology based environment monitoring system.It completes processor module,power module,sensor module and wireless communication module design base on Gainspan platform.Access point can accurately get environment data,such as temperature,humidity,light data,establish connection with the server,and send environment data to sever wirelessly.Server can construct real-time monitoring web platform in B/S architecture,position each node based on RSSI data,meantime get environmental information by wireless network,complete real-time monitoring targets.Results show that this environmental monitoring system works stable and accurately,possesses good practical value and application prospect.
