Application of Lifting Wavelet Transform in Fault Diagnosis

In lifting wavelet transform,wavelet based function with some special characteristic can be obtained by means of designing prediction and update coefficients.The principle of lifting wavelet transform is described,and a noise filtering method is presented based on adaptive threshold for wavelet,which is applied to fault diagnosis of roller bearing.Experimental result show the proposed fault diagnosis method is very efficient.
