Study on Ontologies Building Based on Reusing and Reengineering of Non-ontological Resources

To truly realize the semantic web,ontologies have to be rich and renewable in time.In order that ontologies can be developed faster and renewed timely,saving time and resources,ontology practitioners turn to non-ontological resources in ontologies building.The paper starts with the scientific definition and classification of non-ontological resources.Then it outlines the research progress of non-ontological resource reuse,non-ontological resource reengineering,and patterns for re-engineering non-ontological resources into ontologies.Based on the former study,the paper advances the entire process of reusing and reengineering non-ontological resources in ontologies building,in the hope of throwing more light on building ontologies using non-ontological resources.
