Synthesis of a realistic virtual 3-D human face using a computer has become a research hot subject in the computer graphics field. First, a deformable 3-D face mesh model is constructed, which is edited interactively to match the specific face photographys by the two morphing methods, i.e., coarse morphing technology and careful morphing technology. In order to display the specific humane face realistically, a texture image is synthesized from the specific face photographs and a careful mesh model is generated after Bezier smoothing is used. And the synthetic texture image is mapped onto the smoothed mesh model so that a realistic virtual 3-D humane face model is generated.
