Technology and Realization of Remote Physiological Monitoring System Based on 3S

Objective To design a remote physiological monitoring system based on 3S (GIS/GPRS/GPS) in order to provide real-time medical care and monitoring for specific patient groups. Methods Advanced technologies like wireless communication, GIS spatial analysis and database integration were utilized. Results The system greatly expanded the medical monitoring range and facilitated medical treatment and real-time monitoring. Conclusion The remote physiological monitoring system based on 3S can provide patients with 24-hour monitoring service, which will improve the utilization efficiency of the existing health care resources.
