Design and Application of Dual Stack Router System Based on IXP2400

The IPv4 over IPv6(4over6) mechanism is a mechanism put forward by the Tsinghua university,this mechanism's aim is to interconnect IPv4 networks over IPv6 backbones.We implement the 4over6 mechanism on IXP2400 by detailed analysis on highly speed programmable character of IXP2400 and 4over6 implementation based on Solaris system.Furthermore,we add the NAT-PT mechanism,so users can directly visit on IPv6 network.finally,we carry out an entire mechanism of transition from IPv4 to IPv6.
