Building-up of an enterprise data model supported by ontology

Because of the lack of standard and stable data environment at enterprise level,the building-up of enterprise data models supported by ontology was put forward.According to the consistency among ontology,unified modeling language(UML),and the data model for relational database,three types of ontology are identified and a new framework to make requirements analyses is presented.The methods of hexahydric definition of ontology and situation calculus help to capture the entities and associations conceptually and semantically in the enterprise static and dynamic domains,and also have laid a logical foundation of knowledge for the share and reuse of models.Then the UML and its modeling tool strengthen the concepts graphically and also facilitate converting the concept and business model to database-oriented data model.Meanwhile,the process of acquiring application ontology is a try to evaluate and maintain the models.
