For energy efficiency and frequency spectrum resource utilized efficiency in sensor networks,a distributed medium access control(MAC)algorithm is proposed. We analyze the energy-efficient MAC protocols for wireless sensor networks and more energy consumption is decreased with power control based on the current improved methods.By choosing and maintaining schedule tables in the network, the probability of collision is reduced, and the effective connections within the network are increased.Nodes take interception switch alternatively between sleeping and listening period and adopt the optimal transmission power sending control or data messages in listen period. This method reduces the interfering range.Numerical calculations and simulation results show that our proposed algorithm provides better total network performance, the energy consumed is lower, and the effective throughput is improved.
