Requirement for storage devices increased day by day as development of products in embedded system.Introduced NAND flash in organization inside chip,leading pins outside,type and file system supporting NAND flash.Then showed NAND flash connects with ARM microprocessor and inhere features.NAND flash was compared with NOR flash.Last,program structure in flash firmware was given and how to add NAND flash in Linux operating system was discussed.
