Hardware Design for Image Compression Unit of Space Solar Telescope

Image compression unit is an embedded system.The image compression is implemented at DSP systerm with software.The development of the unit's software is made by use of mixed language.That is to say that image compression algorithm is programmed in C language and other software modules are written in assembly language.The core algorithm of this DSP system has made use of wavelt transform and zero-tree coding methods, which can attain the required compression ratio.
