Chord Algorithm and Methods for Its Improvement

Because of its high-performance,divinable delay,load balancing and scalability,Chord has been a classic structured peer-to-peer algorithm.This paper expatiates the principle of the algorithm and analyzes its merits and drawbacks,and then provides a comprehensive and in-depth survey on various approaches to improve the algorithm.The improved methods are examined and compared.Finally,further research on the algorithm is discussed.
