A Corner Case Test for Floating-Point Multiplication Verification

A test generation for FP multiplication verification in compliance with IEEE Standard 754.The basic procedure is: modeling the boundary condition of the FP arithmetic,getting the solution of this modeling,then constructing a filtering standard with the solution and filtering the operand to carry out the test.Application of this method to typical chip Intel387SX and math coprocessor C387L shows that this method is more efficient than random testing.
