A Brief Study on Abstract Writing and Reference Recording of Science & Technology Papers

In view of the problems existing in abstracts and references of the papers submitted to the journal of Forestry Machinery and Woodworking Equipment,according to the demands of GB 6447 86 Chinese Standard for Writing Abstract of Papers and GBT7714-2005 Rules for Documentation of Bibliographic References and based on the editing practice,the concept,function,composition and types of abstracts are introduced,common problems with abstract writing are analyzed,items needing attention in writing abstracts are presented and examples are given for illustrating the descriptive forms of main references.
