Study on Web Usage Mining

The development of Internet provides a lot of new research issues of traditional data mining. web mining is a combination of traditional data mining and other techniques, for example, computer network. web usage mining can mine useful information from log files, which can help designers design the sites and the service. Moreover, it can help commerce sites do some electronic commerce activities. This paper introduces the concepts and categories of web mining. Furthermore, we focus on the web usage mining. This paper not only provides the mining process of web usage mining but also discusses its research directions.
