The Training of Postgraduate-level Academic Researchers

Xing Bao-mei · Journal of Huaihai Inscitute of Technology · 2004

With the expansion of postgraduate enrolling scale, postgraduates have become a new but strong group of academic research in colleges and universities. The importance, necessity and feasibility to train postgraduate-level academic researchers are analyzed in this paper. As the postgraduates tend to be so eager for quick success as to submit a single article to multiple journals, editors of college journals should be strict to the quality of articles and implement pertinent rules on copyright carefully. Moreover, they should guide these researchers on the criteria to select articles, the registry of appraisal time and relevant editing layouts. It is held that the training of a good postgraduate-level researching group can hardly be fulfilled unless they are taught to write correctly, form a rigorous attitude of scientific research and stick to the principle of honesty and sincerity.
