Estimation of sinusoidal parameters in powerful noise by multi-layer autocorrelation

A new method is introduced that can be used in weak signal detection. Because the sinusoidal signal has a particular autocorrelation trait, it is possible to detect the unknown weak signal in powerful noise. Multiple statuses are studied, such as single sine signal and multi_sine signal, which are disturbed by white noise or colored noise. Through theory analysis and simulation, it is proved that this method can obtain exact frequency measurements. It is less veracious in amplitude measurement, although this problem can be solved by survey averages. Compared with other means, this method can be widely used because it has many virtues such as simple theoretic deduction and explicit physical signification.
