Study on Protection against Lightning Invasion Wave to Booster Station in Thunderous Area

Study was made on overvoltage protection against lightning invading surge to booster station in thunderous area.Highest level of lightning surge subjected to boost station installations at various operation modes,insulation level and margin of installations were given,from which it is known that the insulation margin of various installations can reach 15% to 35%,and the booster station relia-bility is validated.The result can be used for lightning protection design of power plant stations.
