MPI Programming Methods and Application Based on TAO and PETSc

In this paper, we simply introduce TAO (Toolkit for Advanced Optimization), PETSc (Portable,Extensible Tolkit for Scientific Computation)and the methods of MPI (Message Passing Interface) programming. Parallel programming for solving optimization problem in parallel based on TAO on high performance computer is discussed via an example. The codes given are debugged and executed on Dawning-2000, and compared with those based on MPI.
