Survey on challenges in clustering analysis research

Clustering analysis is an important tool for data mining and its purpose is to find the cluster structures in dataset. However, several fundamental challenges associated with clustering still exist. Therefore, the representative methods are briefly surveyed in this paper. Moreover, the major challenges in current work are summarized and the solutions are also discussed in detail. A valuable reference can be provided to the related research work.
