THE SELECTION OF WAVELET BASIS IN IMAGE DENOISING

The wavelet image denoising is an important part of modern image processing, The selection of different wavelet basis will cause different results of denoising. So we discuss how the difference of orthogonal and linearity of wavelet effect the image denoising. In the case of universal threshold by estimating the amount of noise and texture of image, bring forward an criterion to select the wavelet basis for image denoising.
