Iris Segmentation from Human Eye Image

How to segment the iris region from the eye image quickly and exactly is one of the research focus and difficulties of the human identification based on iris recognition technology.The paper analyzes the eye image,takes the idea of Gray-level Thresholding with Least Square Estimate to locate the inner boundary of iris,preprocesses the edge map used to locate the outer boundary of iris and the boundary of eyelid,and improves the decision method of Hough transform,then quickly and exactly segment out the iris region from eye image.
