Research principles and expression methods of temporal-spatial data model
WU Zhong-dong, Zhaolu Zhang · 2004
The temporal-spatial data model (TSDM) consists of three basic elements that are spatial locations, attributes and time. The main fundamentals of TSDM research include identifying the geographic information cell of studied scale, exactly expressing relationships between space and time and the model architecture. The main expressing methods of TSDM have sequent snapshots, base state with amendments, the space-time complex cube, feature-based TSDM and Tupu data model. Nowadays, the important significance of the TSDM study is to expound the functions of classical geographic information system(GIS) and realize time-based analysis and rule prediction of temporal GIS.
