Development of Special Water Leakage Detection Device for Phase Module of ±200 Mvar Container Type STATCOM

A special water leakage detection device for phase module of container type STATCOM which has simpler structure,high reliability and sensitive response is developed. By analyzing the structure of phase module of STATCOM device valve tower,the corresponding frame structure of water leakage detection device is designed,and the performance of the water leakage detection device is tested. The water leakage detection device has not only higher reaction sensitivity but also has simpler structure and smaller volume which is suitable to be used in enclosed live line environment. After the promotion and application of the device,it can help operation personnel on duty find timely the security hidden troubles of micro water leakage in STATCOM water cooling system,and avoid the expansion of accident and enhance the operation reliability of primary devices.
