Study on Heterogeneous Data Integration Based on XML

With the development of information technology,even a single department probably becomes a heterogeneous data source.This paper studies the principle and technology of the heterogeneous database integration for share and integration of the enter- prise information,analyzes the mapping between the database and XML,pattern of storing XML Documents,query transformation from XML query to SQL query and how to publish relational data as XML document.The proposed solution is easy to implement,assuring that all systems are still operating according to the original approach,and the local database data is just converted into XML documents through the conversion interface when exchange of information is needed.
