Discussion on Shaft Current On-line Monitoring of Hydro-generators

The cause and harm of the shaft current to hydraulic generators are expatiated.The on-line monitoring methods of the shaft current at present are introduced.According to the practice of the shaft current on-line monitoring for the 700 MW hydraulic generator of the Three Gorges Project,the features of various shaft current on-line monitoring methods are analyzed,and corresponding measures to improve the precision and level of shaft current on-line monitoring are presented.Recommendations for selection and configuration of shaft current on-line monitoring are put forward.
