Multimedia-based Image Compression Algorithm Analysis

At present, with the rapid development of the network, elements in the performance of network slowly transformed the original text-based form into images, animations, sound and video and other elements form. This situation makes the network performance showing a variety of information, enrichment of the situation. These large numbers of multimedia data increasingly rich people's life and work, infiltrated into education, finance, medical, military, communications, and other walks of life. Text data footprint is small, its network transmission speed is fast, but is rich multimedia data, share a large space. Some high-definition multimedia information content even to GB level, the network transmission of multimedia data is relatively slow. In order to solve on multimedia data storage and transmission problems, multimedia compression technology came into being. This paper describes the multimedia image compression algorithm, to understand its mainstream compression algorithm works principle.
