The system of CAD for shearer drum

The factors that affect on shearer drum cutting preformance were considered in making design software process. Based on cutting theory,computer aid design method for shearer drum was established ,its design software was described.The contents,characteristics and work process of this software,which can be used to design new drums and offer improvement on project for used drums,were discussed in this paper.The applied results of this design software show the cutting preformance can be improved,the cutting efficiency can be enhanced and the stability of shearer can be increased.4figs.,5refs.
