Line spectrum extraction of harmonic signals by using fourth-order cumulant slice spectrum

This paper presents a novel line spectrum extraction method for harmonic signals.By using the Fourier transform of fourth-order diagonal or non-diagonal cumulant slices, which is defined as fourth-order cumulant slice spectrum, the line spectrum feature was extracted effectually.Compared with the traditional higher-order spectrum approaches, the new method not only keeps the advantage of eliminating Gaussian noise, but also owns a less computing amount and a better estimation quality. And what is more important is that the new method no longer requires the signals to be quadratic or cubic phase coupled. The simulation results show that the method is good and effective.
