Study on unique identification methods of USB removable storage device

The primary problem of information system security is personnel and equipment identifications.Based on security management requirement of classified storage media,the necessity to make use of unique identification on removable storage device is discussed.In order to achieve a more secure and reliable unique identification of removable storage device,the unique identification management tech-nique of removable storage device is studied.Taking U disk for example,several different identification methods of USB removable storage device are summarized.According to the selection and storage requirements of unique identification code,the existing problems,advantages and disadvantages of these methods are analyzed and compared,from which a unique identification method based on special order request is proposed.
