Automated Computation of Sandstone Ratio with Massive Logging Data

Comparative analysis of sandstone content in terrestial strata is an effective method to determine directions of sources and to reveal sedimentary environments in sequence stratigraphy studies.It is also an important index that is used to delineate sequence stratigraphy and lithofacies in palaeogeography studies.This article uses an Access database to achieve fast calculation of sandstone radio using massive logging data of sequence stratigraphy.The new method improves efficiency and enhances data accuracy and reliability as compared with the traditional methods.It is proved that the method is a feasible means of scientific compuation and can be used in other earth science research.
