Performance and optimization of QoS for VoIP Service

Firstly the principle of voice over Internet protocol(VoIP) is described in this paper. Secondly, the three main factors which affect the quality of service for VoIP are analyzed. Finally we present an integrated module over MPLS diffserv-aware TE which can give strict end-to-end quality of service guarantees. MPLS diffserv TE makes MPLS-TE aware of CoS, allows resource reservation with CoS granularity and provides the (fault-tolerance) properties of MPLS at a CoS level, which can assure VoIP service bandwidth with lower loss, lower latency and lower jitter so as to satisfy the requirement of QoS.
