Objective To investigate the effect of early nursing intervention on the incidence of internal arteriovenous fistula complications in patients with maintenance hemodialysis, in order to reduce the incidence of complications in hemodialysis patients for providing the better scientific basis. Methods Eighty patients with maintenance hemodialysis were selected in our hospital from December 2010 to December 2012, and were randomly divided into the two groups, each group had 40 cases. The patients in the control group were taken the routine nursing mode, while the patients in the observation group received early nursing intervention on the basis of the control group. The thrombosis, infection, bleeding complications and quality of life of patients in the two groups were observed. Results The early nursing intervention could reduce the internal arteriovenous fistula complications in patients with hemodialysis significantly, prolong the using time of fistula, and the fistula occlusion rate and aneurysmal dilatation rate after early nursing intervention in the observation group was 5.00%, 10.00% respectively, which were significantly lower than those in the control group(10.00%, 17.50% respectively), the differences were statistically significant between the two groups(P0.05). The incidence of thrombosis, infection, hemorrhage, hemangioma, swollen hand syndrome complications in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the incidence of complications in the observation group(10.00%) was significantly lower than that in the control group(30.00%), the difference was statistically significant between the two groups(P0.05). And the quality of life and nursing satisfaction rate of patients in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant between the two groups(P0.05). Conclusion Implementing early nursing intervention mode on internal arteriovenous fistula complications in patients with maintenance hemodialysis can significantly reduce the fistula complications of patients, improve greatly the patient's quality of life, and has significant nursing effect.
