Research on Iris Image Pre-processing Technology

Image pre-processing is the most important step of iris recognition.According to the characteristics of iris image,to solve low operation speed and robustness of iris recognition,this paper proposes a locating arithmetic based on Canny operator and Hough transform,then uses Daugman's protectin model to normalize and enhance the image by histogram equalization.The experiment result shows that the iris image pre-processing arithmetic proposed in this paper can solve the problem of low operation speed and robustness efficiently,and also can improve the stability and recognition rate of the iris recognition system.
