Spectrum Allocation Algorithm of WRAN System

IEEE802.22 Working Group develops an air interface based on cognitive radio for fixed point-to-multipoint WRAN working in 54～862 MHz band. Spectrum allocation is the key technology in WRAN, the most research on spectrum allocation algorithm for cognitive radio focuses on the relatively broad scope, while the allocation algorithm for specific systems such as WRAN is less studied. Based on the characteristics of OFDM and WRAN, an multi-user resource allocation algorithm in combination of MPF with KH is proposed, which could achieve fairness and sub-optimal throughput. Finally, the algorithm is simulated in WRAN system.
