Effective blind equalization based on constant modulus 1-2 criterion

Coordinate transformation has been proved to be a correct solution when constant modulus algorithm( CMA) is used to equalize the non-constant modulus signals in the digital communication systems. For the 16-QAM signals, this paper proposes an effective blind equalization based on constant modulus 1-2 criterion, and it makes use of the coordinate transformation too. The computer simulations are presented for the new algorithm, traditional blind equalization algorithms based on constant modulus 1-2 and constant modulus 2-2 criterions respectively. The simulation results show that the new algorithm is the lowest in steady-state mean square error and fastest in convergence rate among them.
