It is important for the digital technology of plant growth to develop plant production and modern agriculture. After systematically describing the virtual plant and its modeling method,it presented several key technologies to realize digital expression of plant growth.Based on the researches of the existing plant growth models as well as virtual plant models, the information related to the process of plant growth could be reconstructed with the method of feature extraction and fusion, and then it should realize the digital expression of plant growth using the way of model fusion. The presented technology was proved in practice, which demonstrated its feasibility and validity in simulating the development of plant.
