Design of software structure of Passenger Information System based on digital media technology

The traditional broadcasting mode of Passenger Information System(PIS) had the weakness of high cost,information atomic loss and unconvenient for network operators and so on.This paper put forward the design of PIS based on the digital media technology.It was analyzed three important parts which were include the edit and release of multimedia,the structure of multimedia description file,synthesized process of digital media.The design adopted opening technical architecture and in line with international standards of multimedia description file,so it was adapted to the development trends of PIS network operation management.
